Carlos A. Segura is Editor-in-Chief at Operaciones, where he develops and oversees publishing projects centered on disciplinary practices in contemporary art and architecture culture. He has been a guest professor in the Curatorial and Contemporary Art program at La Fototeca, Galería Extra, and the National Foundation for Fine Arts and Culture (Guatemala, 2019), co-directed an independent course on curation, exhibition, and installation at _Temporal (Costa Rica, 2021), and served as a Lecturer Professor in the Theory, Philosophy, and History department of the School of Architecture at LCI Veritas (Costa Rica, 2021-2024), and Visiting Professor at the School of Architecture of Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile, 2025). He has led independent and academic research workshops, most notably Experiments in History, Theory, and Criticism (eHTC, 2023–). He is currently developing his editorial practice in the fields of architecture and environmental history, which directly inform his latest practice as an academic and independent researcher at eHTC. He holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Costa Rica.
